SAFE KIDS Coalition:
"Safe Kids 500" on Wednesday, June 20, 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
New Hampshire International Speedway, Loudon, NH
The weatherman was not kind to the participants and volunteers for the 2005 and 2006 events, yet quite a few adults and children still attended and rode their bikes around the famous track. Click here for photos of this wet Wednesday evening last year. Everyone is looking forward to the 2007 event, and with fair weather! For more information about this famous speedway, click here.
Here are the plans for the 2007 event:
Help us celebrate SAFE KIDS Week 2007 at the "Safe Kids 500."
The New Hampshire
SAFE KIDS Coalition and the New Hampshire International Speedway invite you
to a one-of-a-kind bike ride around the track in Loudon. Imagine
you will
get to pedal your bike on the same track that NASCAR drivers race around! All
children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver and all participants (kids
and adults) must wear a bike helmet. Bike safety checks and minor servicing
will be performed by S&W Sports of Concord. Bike helmets, educational materials,
and healthy snacks will be made available by Safe Kids of NH, Children's Hospital
at Dartmouth (CHAD), and the Bike-Walk Alliance of NH.
There is no cost for this event although donations to CHaD will be gratefully accepted. For more information and to let us know you are coming contact NH SAFE KIDS at 1-877-783-0432 or e-mail IPC@dartmouth.edu. Registration starts at 5:00 PM, rides and exhibits available 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
